Hi, I’m Abbie.

I’m a queer therapist who believes deeply in the importance of having a space where you can show up as your full self.

I became a therapist because I’m drawn to the process of understanding ourselves—our stories, our relationships, and the ways we have learned to navigate the world. I know how painful it can be to feel different, disconnected, or like you are trying to fit yourself into expectations that were never quite your own.

I believe our stories and coping strategies develop within the context of our relationships, identities, cultures, and lived experiences. In therapy, I consider the whole person—including the impact of family, community, culture, identity, and the ways marginalization, oppression, and inequity shape people’s experiences of safety, belonging, and possibility. Understanding this context allows us to approach patterns with curiosity and compassion, recognizing that the ways we cope often developed for a reason.

My work is about helping clients explore the patterns that show up in their lives, develop greater self-understanding, and create more possibilities for how they want to live and relate.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have been practicing since 2007, with experience supporting individuals and couples through change and uncertainty. I received my Master of Social Work from NYU’s Silver School of Social Work and have continued to build my practice around compassionate, affirming, and individualized care.

What matters most to me is the therapeutic relationship. I believe therapy works best when it is collaborative—when you bring your experiences and knowledge of yourself, and I bring curiosity, support, and a space to slow down, reflect, and make sense of what feels overwhelming.
